My path is the path of karate.
I remember the World Championship and the moment when I had to step onto the mat to fight for the bronze medal. At that time, it felt as though all my strength had been exhausted, and my belief in myself and in victory had faded away. In that moment, I was able to rely on someone else’s belief in me — my coach, who stood beside me. There is always someone who believes in you, someone who can remind you and awaken your belief in yourself and in your own strength. I remember that fight as one of the moments that reflects the true meaning of NGU the most.
Competitions do not always end in victory — there are painful defeats as well. Just like in life. Yet both victories and defeats teach us valuable lessons. Defeats especially test whether you are truly walking your own path, and whether what you do means more to you than medals or titles. If, despite every experience and challenge, you still choose to keep moving forward — that is your NGU. Never give up believing in YOURSELF.
